David Marcolin

Senior Associate

I bring a unique perspective to family law proceedings, thanks to my years of experience as an associate to a Judge in the Federal Circuit Court of Australia. This experience has given me an in-depth understanding of the technical rules that apply to family law litigation and a keen insight into the court’s perspective and approach to identifying and resolving issues.

My ability to navigate the court processes with poise and confidence puts me in a strategic position to pursue and achieve my client’s desired outcomes. I bring a sharp eye for detail and a thorough understanding of the nuances of family law cases, which allows me to provide exceptional legal representation to my clients.

I understand that family law matters can be stressful and overwhelming for my clients, so I make it my mission to provide compassionate and attentive guidance throughout the process. With me as your advocate, you can trust that I will leverage my experience and knowledge to fight for your best interests every step of the way.

Ruby Kelly

Solicitor

I have had the privilege of being a member of the team at Feeney Family Law for some time. Starting my career as a legal assistant and progressing to the roles of paralegal and law graduate allowed me to advance my skills in family law, and gain a thorough understanding and appreciation of the foundational values of our firm.

I was admitted as a legal practitioner in June 2023. I was fortunate to have enjoyed some time in Europe for several months prior to settling back into my old office and starting my work as a solicitor in October 2023.

Every aspect of my work is client centered. This is your journey. We are here to help you navigate this next chapter of your life.

I assist Kay in the effective handling of your matter, and focus on achieving a cost-effective, prompt and just resolution for my clients. I understand the need for a compassionate approach to your matter, and will support your interests wholeheartedly throughout the process, wherever that may take you.

Gemma Sculpher

Paralegal

Early on in my studies of a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) at Queensland University of Technology, I knew that I wanted to practice in Family Law, as I have a genuine desire to assist people going through some of life’s most challenging moments. My employment with Feeney Family Law has not only reinforced this, but has provided me with a unique opportunity to observe and learn the necessary support and advocacy skills required by family law practitioners.

I have been extremely fortunate to learn from a team of compassionate, dedicated, and experienced legal professionals, while being exposed to a diverse range of family law matters. While I anticipate my admission to the legal profession in the coming months, I continue to build on my knowledge and understanding of the intricate and multifaceted aspects of family law.

Working in this field serves as a constant reminder of the importance of empathy in achieving effective legal solutions for clients. I am excited to continue working alongside the devoted Feeney Family Law team as I complete my studies and pursue a future legal career in family law.

Lilli Anderson

Paralegal

I am in my penultimate year of university studying a dual degree in a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Psychology) at Queensland University of Technology. The ethos and values underpinning Feeney Family Law’s approach has sparked my passion for supporting families to navigate their own pathway moving forward.

Having a background in behavioural science, has assisted my strong understanding for the need to approach each client’s situation through client-centred conversations, empathy, and flexibility. I understand the nuanced challenges this field presents, and the importance of working collaboratively with an array of experts to achieve the best outcome for our clients.

I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work alongside, and learn from, the experienced team at Feeney Family Law. As I finalise my studies, I look forward to further developing my legal knowledge and skills to ensure I can best support families in the future.

Ashleigh Duffy

Paralegal

Whilst studying a Bachelor of Law/Psychological Science at Griffith University I had the opportunity to complete a placement at Feeney Family Law. Throughout my placement I witnessed firsthand, the role of family lawyers in supporting and advocating for their clients as they navigate what can be an unfamiliar and daunting process.

This placement fostered my passion for family law and consolidated my desire to pursue a career in this area of law. At the completion of my placement, I eagerly accepted an offer to remain part of the Feeney Family Law team.

Following my recent graduation from my undergraduate studies, I continue to learn from my committed and passionate colleagues both in the terms of academic legal knowledge and practical skills of client advocacy. My background in psychology provides me with a unique perspective when working in the domestic and family violence space.

As a paralegal, I work alongside our solicitors to ensure the efficient progression of our clients matters. I recognise the intricacies of family law and that every family situation is unique and enjoy working towards creative solutions that best support our client’s interests.

Zoey Angell
